This painting gives a view of the beach at Corona Del Mar. The warm hues of the sandy foreground are reflected in the bright ochre of the peninsula in the distance.

On the rugged coast of Corona Del Mar, a loan tree stands out atop a jutting peninsula, its apex seems to pierce the sky. Far below, the white surf churns against the black rocks.

Painted at Balboa Harbor. At first, I was concerned that my painting lacked balance, but soon came to realize that the deep space to the right helped balance the close up cabin cruiser.
